While new media and technology continue to evolve at a rapid pace, companies still need to communicate their message in a way that feels immediate and tangible to their audience and conveys the unique values of their brand.

Joel Markus, Design Director of M, holds over 20 years of leadership and expertise in providing visual solutions for a range of corporate, broadcast & cable clients. His work has earned multiple gold awards from the Broadcast Designers International Design Show and Promax, as well as recognition from the Art Directors Club of Boston and the International Film Festival.

Joel’s clients have included the Discovery Channel, BOSE and ESPN. He was the lead designer for the original logos of HGTV, The Learning Channel and Animal Planet. He was responsible for launching The Learning Channel and for the network relaunches of the Discovery Channel and New England Cable News.

His work has appeared in Communication Arts as well as several graphic design textbooks. He has lectured at Boston University and the Art Institute of Boston, and served as judge for several BDA International Design Shows.
